If
you do not require a POS-integrated payment terminal but want to save space on
the counter.
Based
on a very simple installation on an ordinary PC, this payment solution could
easily be mistaken for a POS-integrated solution. You simply install the PayEx
application on your PC to create a virtual operator unit and then connect the
PIN unit to your PC.
The
payment terminal is defined as a stand-alone payment terminal, as there is no
connection between the POS system and the payment terminal. The cashier is
required to enter the purchase amount in the virtual operator unit to activate
the Payment Terminal and ask for the customer’s PIN code.
The
payment solution supports the new, more secure chip cards, protecting your store
from any attempts at fraud.
The
payment terminal communicates with the PC through PosPay®, a certified and
approved interface developed by PayEx
that is optimised for fast and secure integration with Windows- and Linux-based
POS environments.
The
solution requires a PC with TCP/IP capability.
Tipping
If you conclude an agreement on
tipping, you can register tips in connection with card purchases.
This function is suitable for
restaurants, pubs and other businesses where tips are paid.
Under the new global requirements for
chip cards and PIN codes, the whole amount including the tip must be approved
and verified by PIN at the time of transaction. In future it will thus not be
possible to register tips after the purchase.
Multiple users
If you conclude a multiple user
agreement you can connect multiple account numbers to a single PayEx terminal.
This function is suitable for
hairdressers or private nurses, for example, who share the same business
premises.
Up to ten different points of sale can
share the same PayEx terminal.
Multiple currencies
If you conclude an agreement on
multiple currencies you can select a large number of currencies linked to a
single PayEx terminal.
The same PayEx terminal can be used for
up to ten different currencies.
Multiple countries
If you conclude an agreement covering
several countries you can link the various acquiring agreements to a single
PayEx terminal.
Please contact PayEx if you are
interested in this function.
