Spotify Premium now available at Pressbyrån and 7-Eleven
Today Spotify enters into an agreement with Convenient Card, which means that Spotify Premium will now also be available in real-world stores.
The PayEx subsidiary company Convenient Card will provide a platform that will enable real world stores to offer Spotify’s music services to their customers. The first to sell Spotify’s Premium service will be around 500 Swedish Pressbyrån and 7-Eleven stores.
Spotify Premium is a subscription service to which users pay SEK 99 per month for the use of an advertising-free Spotify version plus access to extra invites, the opportunity to pre-hear music, participate in competitions and win concert tickets, travel mode, and higher download rates etc. Spotify users get to choose between 1, 3, 6 or 12 month premium subscriptions.
“It’s tremendous fun being able to work together with Spotify. Their services are perfectly suited to our platform,” summarizes Convenient Cards CEO Nelson Walden.
And Daniel Ek, CEO at Spotify adds:
“We are really happy to be able to offer our users the opportunity to buy Spotify Premium not only online, but also at Pressbyrån and 7-Eleven stores. We want to provide our users with as many alternative methods of payment as possible.”
